Philanthropy Events
Anchor Splash: Anchor Splash is a week long philanthropy event that we host. Majority of the Greek houses ,both fraternities and sororities, participate in all the events. Throughout the week we will hold different events such as a BBQ on campus, an informative GREAT session, penny wars competition, lip sync & dance competition, as well as a variety of pool events. The pool events consist of relay races, synchronized swimming, and a banner contest. The money that we raise from all of our events is donated to the nationwide Delta Gamma foundation, Service for Sight. Last year alone we raised $20,000 for our foundation!
Anchor Slam: We recently just brought back one of our most sought after philanthropies, Anchor Slam. This is a one day, on campus, 5 vs. 5 basketball tournament and individual skills competition. We allow both men's and coed teams to participate. This event is open to any SJSU students whether you are greek, an athlete, a part of a club, or just want to come out and play some ball, all are welcome.
Volunteering: Our members also spend time volunteering for various organizations each year! We frequently volunteer at the Santa Clara Valley blind center, helping to set up events and spend time with guests. Annually, we volunteer at the Blind babies easer egg hunt to help make Easter special for the visually impaired children who attend.
